Legends Direct offers FREE shipping on Standard Awning orders within the Continental U.S.

For orders shipping to Canada, Alaska and Hawaii, please contact Legends Direct at  888-501-6145 for shipping and delivery rates.

Delivery

All standard awning orders ship LTL Truck. Legends Direct will pay basic freight costs only. The trucking company will be UPS Freight, and they will call to set up delivery (only if residential delivery) and will bring the awning directly to your location. If your location is commercial address, UPS freight will deliver during normal business hours and will not call ahead. You can track your shipment using the supplied tracking number in the email we send to you after shipment.

Legends Direct ships in custom tubes that protect your awning. If you ordered brackets for your installation, they may be delivered separately via UPS Ground. UPS drivers will get the awning off the truck, and using a dolly, will bring it into the garage if it is close to drop off point. They will not deliver to back of homes or condos.

Costomer may incur additional delivery fees if:

  • Delivery is refulsed (with no damage). Please be careful not to reject shipment if there is only minor damage on the packaging. We use custom tubes, and the awnings are well protected inside.
  • Any other cause that results in additional handling cost from the freight carrier

Estimated Shipping Times

We use business days as defined as not a weekend or holiday for shipping days. Legends Direct ships out of Michigan, and orders could take as long as six business days to reach their destination. We usually ship within 5-6 business days from receiving order.

Safe Delivery

We strive that any purchases made Legends Direct will arrive in good condition, if you see large damage to packaging you should open and check product immediately. Legends Direct uses custom tubes for shipment and we have found these to protect the awnings. Even if packaging has some small damage to outside, the awning usually is fine. All items are priced and shipped carrying full insurance. In the event that an item once opened is not in good condition, please email us, at customerservice@legendsdirect.com for replacement or repair information. You must notify us within five business days from receiving if a product is damaged, defective or has missing parts. After 30 days we are not responsible for defective or damaged products. 

Delivery FAQ


Q: When will my awning be delivered?

A: You will be contacted when your order arrives at the UPS Freight terminal to set up a convenient delivery appointment time. Please allow up to 2 weeks from the date of shipment for your awning to arrive (we try to ship within 5-6 business days). If you have not heard from UPS Freight please contact them at 800-333-7400, option 2 and provide them your tracking number.

Q: What is a freight delivery?


A: Your Legends Direct Awning is too large to ship via any small package carrier so we have a National agreement with UPS Freight. Freight deliveries are curbside. The driver is not responsible for bringing the delivery into your home, take to back yard, uncrating, installing or removing any packing materials.

Q: What if I live in a gated community or a road restricted to trucks?


A: Curbside delivery is subject to suitable access. Some circumstances may require an additional fee to the carrier. Be sure to discuss any restrictions when the local freight terminal contacts you to schedule the delivery appointment.

Q: Do I need to be home to receive the delivery?

A: Please have someone meet the delivery, sign for it, and take it from the curbside. If you are unable to do so, be sure to discuss and authorize an unattended delivery when the local freight terminal contacts you to schedule the delivery appointment.

Q: How will my awning be packaged?


A: All Legends Direct Awnings ship in a custom tube along with basic mounting hardware and installation instructions. If you ordered optional Bay Window or Roof Mount Brackets these most likely will ship separately via UPS and most likely will not be in the tube. You will get an email with a tracking number.

Q: What if my shipment appears to be damaged or is missing a package?


A: It is your responsibility to check closely for any signs of damage or missing items before signing for the delivery. Keep in mind that the package may appear damaged but the contents may be unaffected. Mark any discrepancy or if a package is damaged on the driver’s delivery receipt with a written description of any visual damage. It is also helpful for us if you could take pictures of any damage while delivering. This helps us to make claims with UPS if we need to. Please call us at 888-501-6145 to arrange for prompt replacement should you uncover any issues with your delivered items.

Q: Am I able to preview the installation instructions?


A: Yes. We have installation videos for you to review on our website. Your awning will come complete with a full detailed written installation manual.

Q: What if I need assistance during the installation process?


A: All of the Legends Direct awnings come with the most detailed installation manual available in the market. If you need additional help, call us at  888-501-6145 and one of our Installation experts who have installed thousands of awnings will be able to answer your question. Q: What if I am not comfortable installing my awning by myself?


A: Not a problem. Legends Direct has teamed with Mr. Handyman for an exclusive Flat-Fee National Installation Program. Mr. Handyman locations are all insured and can only install Legends Direct awnings. Best of all, we have negotiated a flat fee price for your installation, depending on type of installation.
